The Role: 

Join us at Games Global as our Business Optimization Lead and become an integral part of ensuring the triumph and profitability of our gaming studios. 

This role affords you the opportunity to develop into a future leader within Games Global, by working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, developing a thorough operational understanding of the business and industry, underpinned by your business acumen and training as a South African Chartered Accountant.

This role is not only about numbers but also about shaping the gaming landscape through strategic financial decision-making.


What you'll do:

Financial Management:

  • Provide financial leadership and oversight for studio operations.
  • Work collaboratively with studio heads to develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial objectives align with the broader business strategy.

Revenue Optimization:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize studio revenue, exploring innovative monetization models within the gaming industry.
  • Collaborate with the creative and development teams to align financial goals with game production timelines and milestones.

Market Trends and Profitability:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities for revenue growth and profitability.
  • Provide insights to studio heads on market trends, player behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Work closely with studio heads to streamline operational processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on game quality or player experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments, including finance, marketing, and development, to ensure a cohesive approach to studio operations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, driving cross-functional initiatives to achieve business objectives.


Job requirements

What you'll need: 

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial role within the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Proven experience in optimizing revenue streams and maximising profitability.
  • Strong understanding of gaming industry dynamics, market trends, and player behavior.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
