Job description

The Role:

As a Finance Analyst for our global business, you will be responsible for forecasting, tracking and reporting on multiple division’s costs, across multiple departments and locations, contributing to the strategic objectives of multiple stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

  • Working with key stakeholders and Heads of Divisions to create and track against budgets (CAPEX & OPEX) for the financial year ahead.
  • Finance Business Partnering - Be the point of contact within the Finance team for stakeholders and budget owners to understand their costs.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on actual vs budget performance, to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage and oversee further analysis of actuals versus budgets and ongoing forecasting along with providing commentary on such movements.
  • Provide insightful information and reporting to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
  • Preparation of variance analysis of actuals vs. previous month and budget, preparing commentary for monthly accounts close meetings and decks.
  • Work as a conduit between the Finance and People division, in relation to headcount forecasting in addition to supporting various stakeholders around the wider business.
  • Reconciliation to central reporting by group finance function.
  • Ad hoc analysis as required from time to time.
  • Work towards continued evolution of reporting and presenting, finding efficiencies through automation where possible.

What you’ll bring:

  • Prior experience working in a Finance Analyst-type role, with a focus on budget management and variance analysis.
  • Excellent presentation skills and able to present to a variety of audiences, in terms of seniority and presentation methods.
  • High attention to detail with Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and other MS Office packages, including PowerPoint.
  • Be self-motivated and proactive.
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working partnerships.
  • Able to demonstrate a confidential approach to working.

Job requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent, ACCA or ACA qualification.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals is key.
