We are on the lookout for an IT Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting the IT Core Infrastructure Services as well as assisting with end user support escalation that the end user support teams are unable to resolve. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality IT system services to the Games Global stakeholders.


This role is unique as you will be part of a blended IT team working across all IT Technology Service solutions ranging from end user toolsets to IT Core Infrastructure services inclusive of cloud services.


  • Manage and proactively monitor all systems and infrastructure, e.g., ensure all systems are at an optimal capacity and health within the on prem datacentres and cloud infrastructures (Azure & AWS).
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain end point and server operating, application software and system management tools.
  • Proactively ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Maintain security updates for all IT Infrastructure, backups and ensure IT DR technical recovery plans for all IT Core Systems
  • Write and maintain technical processes, standards and work instructions for all IT infrastructure and systems. E.g., IT Recovery Plan, Setup work instructions, etc.
  • Work closely with the IT Architects and Subject Matter IT Domain Experts to plan out new project implementations and resolve existing IT issues.
  • Work closely with the Service Desk Support teams to assist with escalations and general ticket resolution where needed.
  • Work closely with project managers on Technology Services Projects.
  • Ensure that all requests and incidents are fulfilled within the agreed service levels.
  • Ensure that all IT changes are logged and managed in the IT Change Management systems.
  • Work closely with Managed Services Partners and/or Vendors to resolve escalated tickets.
  • Ensure that all Priority 1 Incidents have appropriate Root Cause Analysis Reports.
  • Ensure that all reoccurring incidents are managed and resolved via a Problem ticket.
  • Keep up with the latest IT technologies by completing industry recognised certifications, e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Machine Learning, etc.
  • Identify service improvement initiatives within the IT space and develop technical solutions through automation, scripting based on OEM best practices. Automate repetitive tasks, e.g., monthly standard patching.
  • Develop and implement a list of critical operational task (daily, weekly, monthly) checks that must be carried out to ensure effective running of all IT environment, e.g., Monthly endpoint patching check, etc.
  • Participate in Technology Services projects.
  • Participate in Proof of Concepts for IT products, e.g., new BETA version of Microsoft productivity suite.
  • Collaborate and assist global IT colleagues as part of information sharing. 
  • Ability to work standby (after hours) at least one week every month to support high priority incidents that cannot wait for the next business day.

Job requirements

🤔 Who are we looking for? You are the right person for this role if you have:

  • a degree or diploma in IT Information Systems OR updated certification in 2 or more of the following services : O365 / Azure / VMware / Active Directory / Window Server / Operation System / Intune.
  • ITIL Foundation.
  • Minimum 7 to 9 years working experience in IT infrastructure environments.
  • Experience in VMware Vcenter, Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Azure and AWS IAAS services.
  • Experience in Backup and SAN Technology.
  • Experience in Patch Management, e.g., BigFix, SCCM, Qualys Patch Management.
  • Proficient understanding of end user hardware technology, e.g., Dell Laptops, Apple Macintosh, mobile devices
  • Proficient in network infrastructure and information security
  • Proficient working knowledge of end-user computing technologies which includes, but not limited to office suite, Microsoft Intune, JAMF MDM for Apple Mac, OKTA, Microsoft Defender, O365 Tenant Management, Exchange Online, Meeting Room Management using MS Teams,
    Netskope, Virtual Desktop Interface (AWS & Azure), Printer Management, Network Management (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP), WIFI Management
  • Proficient understanding of Teams meeting rooms and live events setup and troubleshooting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow and/or Remedy IT Service Management.
  • Familiarity and experience with scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python, JavaScript, etc...

Advantageous experience 

  • Studio development applications/tools including, but not limited to: Perforce, Visual Studio, Adobe Creative Cloud, Maya, 3DS Max, Houdini, Microsoft XDK, Sony XDK/PRODG, JIRA, Ansible & Parsec.
