Job description

The Role: 

Games Global is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mathematician to join our dynamic team. As a mathematician you will model, design and support the mathematics and statistics for the business core iGaming products.

A Level 2 Mathematician’s responsibility is to solve various complexity casino maths models using game design techniques, as well as provide support on standard maths related queries. Although the maths models are to be solved independently, this role may still require supervision and guidance on Game Design Techniques.


What you'll do: 

Provide support for mathematical queries:

  • Perform investigations into game RTP and monitoring alerts.
  • Accurately capture math data on all relevant data platforms.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to queries relating to game maths for different game types.
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders on cross functional support queries.
  • Understand and accordingly actions support requirements for different markets.

Develop mathematical models:

  • Investigate viability of studio's request for math model.
  • Create theoretical and/or simulated solutions to fully understand the statistical characteristics of the game for games of various complexity.
  • Use tools or build simulations to check work and ensure accuracy.
  • Complete all documentation with accuracy.
  • Consult with service developers to ensure accuracy of service solution.

Research and develop new tools and processes: 

  • Improve on existing sets of tools to automate and streamline processes.
  • Build solutions, processes, or templates to automate redundant admin.

Game Design: 

  • Monitor industry trends and identify game features in industry missing in our portfolio.
  • Iterate design to ensure that the intended player experience is achieved.
  • Analyse game performance to identify impact of game design choices.
  • Develop an understanding of player psychology to improve Game Design.
  • Generate new feature ideas to improve player experience.
  • Use knowledge of math game design to guide studio games.

Knowledge Share and Mentorship:

  • Feedback new game releases and game ideas to general team.
  • Educate society members on new and improved tools and processes.
  • Use existing training documentation and material to assist in facilitating the onboarding of new mathematicians.
  • Update and create documentation for new processes.

Job requirements

What you'll need: 

  • BSc Degree in Maths or Stats AND Computer Science.
  • 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • MS Excel Advanced.
  • C# or Similar.
  • Advanced Critical Thinking.
  • Attention to detail and maintaining accuracy.
  • Adaptability and able to manage own projects.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management.
